Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian ministry founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. Habitat builds with people in need regardless of race or religion. Habitat also welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds.

Our Housing Insecurity Prevention Program components target low-income households’ risk of housing and financial insecurity. These components include Home Construction, A Brush with Kindness, Emergency Household Needs Assistance and Wellness Checks, Linkages, and Referrals.

Last year, we served 359 clients in a variety of ways:

• Constructed two homes and rehabilitated two homes that were acquired by four low-income families
• Completed Home Repairs for 160 clients (85 households)
• Provided Emergency Household Needs Assistance for 75 clients (26 households)
• Conducted Wellness Checks on 135 clients (60 households)
