If you frequent the Habitat ReStore, you may have noticed a new face behind the desk or out on the floor. We are pleased to officially introduce Kellie Aguilar, who assumed the role of ReStore Manager in May and has hit the ground running. Kellie brought to us over 20 years of experience in the retail business, the majority of the time in a variety of management positions with Costco. The leadership, merchandising know-how, and sales expertise she brings have given the store a significant boost.

Kellie came to the Coachella Valley in 1997 to answer a job ad and has made it home for her and her two sons ever since. While she professes to not have very much spare time, but when she does, biking, hiking and travel are her personal go to activities.

In the five months since entering the resale business, she continues to be amazed by the variety of goods that are donated noting that we often receive full households of goods that are themed a particular color, style or collectables. From dozens and dozens of chihuahua figurines to a complete red glass dinner set with hundreds of pieces, she says it’s fun to see what comes in the back door each day and goes out on the floor to become someone’s new treasure the next.
