August 17 is National NonProfit Day, a day to recognize and celebrate our achievements as a nonprofit. At Habitat for Humanity Coachella Valley, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank and celebrate the efforts of our volunteers, partners and donors.

Although we have experienced many challenges in 2020/2021, we have nonetheless been able to achieve much during this time. Our 10,000 square feet location on Dinah Shore (one of the largest in the valley) is thriving and busy receiving and processing many items daily. Often, pre-loved items don’t even last a day on our floor. We have many tireless volunteers working to process the intake of these items and working in the store. They do a wonderful job keeping the store organized and displaying items for our customers to see. Please come by if you have not yet visited ReStore!

In May, we were able to hold a home dedication for two families in Indio. We were thrilled to be able to hold a small in-person event to celebrate this milestone for the families moving into their homes. We can not thank our partners in this endeavor enough, their generous donations of time, material and expertise are what makes these homes possible. If you have not watched the video of the home dedication yet, you can do so by clicking here.

Lastly, we have an active and participating board of directors who donate generously of their time and effort. Their strong vision for HFH Coachella Valley has helped us get to where we are today and continues to lead us forward.

Thank you for your commitment to Habitat for Humanity Coachella Valley, whether it is through shopping at ReStore, participating as a volunteer, monetary donations, board membership or building partner. YOU are what makes our work possible, thank you!
